Programs
Learning at the Fluency Factory
At the Fluency Factory, we use the clearest, most advanced approach to teaching that is available. We work one to one with each student to individualize their learning program, so we can serve a variety of different student needs, from beginner to advanced high school student.
Using proven teaching strategies we've developed over the past 12 years, we're able to measure a student's learning achievements after each session to be sure that students are rapidly learning new skills.
We help every student achieve a level of fluency in scholastic subjects developing useful, durable skills. Moreover, these "automatic skills" we are aiming to achieve build confidence that carries over to the classroom environment and beyond.
Individual and Group Learning
Following are the programs and services most frequently utilized at the Fluency Factory. Every student is different, so please call to discuss how we can help your student more specifically.
Individual Subject Tutoring
We tutor in all the standard scholastic subjects, including reading, composition, math (algebra, geometry and calculus), science (chemistry and physics), and foreign language.
Intensive Catch-Up and Advanced Learning
We help bring students up to grade level. We are proud to see struggling students transform into confident and happy learners. We also help students advance beyond grade level.
Special Education Services
Our scientific approach to teaching tremendously helps students diagnosed with dyslexia, autistic spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Prader-Willi syndrome, non-verbal learning disabilities, and others.
Summer Programs
During the summer, we offer both group and individual tutoring. This is a great opportunity for students to either catch up or jump ahead before the next school year starts, and start the year with an extra boost of confidence.

Fast Start! (Ages 5-7)
The Fast Start program teaches young students critical skills in a playful and enjoyable environment. Students learn handwriting skills from how to hold a pencil to letter formation. We teach counting and number sense as well as beginning math skills. Our curriculum includes:
- Writing and printing program to build proper grip and letter formation for a solid foundation for school.
- Phonics instruction with practice throughout the session.
- Stories read and talked about to build stronger comprehension skills.
- Number sense and practice individualized for each student.
Prep School Entry Exam
We offer programs to help prepare students for the private school entry exams.
We have an extraordinary history of success in preparing students for the Secondary School Admission Test. Experienced tutors prepare students for ISEE, SSAT, and HSPT.
We work to help students gain an understanding of the tests, and provide feedback about their expected outcome.
This program will offer instruction and practice in the subtests required of each test, as well as skill building in essential foundation skills.
SAT / ACT
We offer programs that prepare students for demanding SAT/ACT Exams. Appropriate for students who plan to take the SAT/ACT. This preparation is taught by experienced tutors who understand the intricacies of these test.
Group Programs
As students reach their goals, we offer group sessions to help keep them on a strong path while promoting organizational skills, teaching executive functions, and fun! We offer reading groups, spelling groups, and study hall groups.
